I have 2 questions:
- Trying to let other devices know of an update
- Sending push notifications from a device to other devices
Trying to let other devices know of an update
I'm trying to figure out how to let other devices connected to the same user know of any updates to stored values. For example, we update a number in a bucket, and we're looking to notify other devices of the update.
I've played around with the KiiBalance tutorial for Android to see if I could send an update (adding or changing a Balance entry) to the Kii Cloud and somehow notify all other devices connected with the same user to update the values without restarting the app. So far, I have to restart the app to see any changes done from another device. Is there a way to let devices know that a value has been changed and update accordingly? If so, how should I approach this?
Sending push notifications from a device to other devices
I've been able to send push notifications from Firebase dev portal with customized message texts and message titles, and modified code in the FCM-based Push Notification sample to display them. (Not sure how to send customized messages from Kii dev portal.)
However, I'm looking to figure out how to send a request from a device to send push notifications to all other devices connected to the same user. Is this possible, and if so, are there any references or examples that could be helpful?
